MIX conducts training courses on performance monitoring and benchmarking to microfinance institutions and second-tier organizations, such as networks, regulators and investors, in cooperation with educational institutions or industry associations. This activity focuses on the principles and processes behind the establishment of performance tracking and benchmarking systems using an action planning process.
MIX training helps establish and refine effective systems for performance monitoring and benchmarking of microfinance institutions. Courses use a variety of methods, tailored to each specific audience’s needs, including: lectures, demonstrations, dialogues, qualitative analysis, group exercises, simulation exercises, role play and action planning. The length of the courses can be individualized according to individual requirements, from a few hours to four day intensive sessions.
MIX only considers working on projects that help to promote transparency and efficiency within the microfinance industry and that help MIX to achieve its own goals. Relevant training opportunities are treated on a case-by-case basis and contracts offered by MIX are subject to a discretional service fee. Previous engagements include:
- American University, November 2006
- Boulder Microfinance Training Programme, July 2006
- SEEP Network, October 2005
